Looking for a change? Consider joining Cordova Bay Optometry, a small boutique style eye care clinic and optical in the heart of Mattick's Farm in Cordova Bay! We pride ourselves in offering comprehensive eye care with a focus on patient education, inclusion, and comfort (i.e. we like to take the time needed with each and every patient - no rush, no push).
Your role will be to play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and support within our optometry practice, assisting in various tasks that enhance the patient experience, from managing front desk operations to supporting the optometrist during examinations. We are entering our fourth year of operations and are eager to have our team members let us know where they want to evolve and grow within the office, including yourself.
Our optical focuses on more bespoke, unique, and independent eyewear and we are excited for each team member who comes along to be involved with meeting with reps to help evolve and curate our collection.

Duties
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Assist with patient intake.
- Helping with pretesting patients before they meet with the doctor,
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate follow-up visits.
- Maintain an organized front desk area, including handling phone calls and managing patient inquiries.
- If interested, can learn how to assist with optical sales by providing guidance on eyewear options and processing transactions.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology and protocols during patient interactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an eye care setting is ideal, but ultimately we are looking for a good fit for our growing team.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly Optosys, is advantageous.
- Strong background in patient care with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in front desk operations and managing patient flow is desirable.
- Knowledge of optical products and retail sales experience is a plus.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to optometry is ideal.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills as our clinic grows and evolves.
