We are looking for an experienced MOA or office manager to join our cohesive team at Cowichan Ophthalmology. We will value a candidate that is positive, reliable, motivated & an expert at their position.
Cowichan Ophthalmology is a surgical specialist office of 3 physicians serving a large and busy patient population in the Cowichan Valley and mid Vancouver Island. We have a dedicated, supportive staff and look forward to welcoming you.
Our successful candidate will be someone who:
- Is experienced in routine receptionist and MOA duties - maintaining accurate patient records, coordinating appointments, managing daily schedules, using standard office equipment, managing supplies, greeting and directing patients.
- Can be a positive team leader in the office and an anchor at reception.
- Is skilled with computers and both able and interested in learning new software. Efficiency using Accuro - Electronic Medical Records is a valued bonus.
- May have experience with billing MSP
- May have experience with bookkeeping and payroll
- Is excellent at multitasking and can work accurately in a fast paced environment.
- Has professional and friendly telephone skills.
- Is kind and caring with elderly patients.
- Is able to provide a positive and professional attitude towards both patients and staff.
- Is able to work constructively in both an individual and team environment.
- Will maintain patient and office confidentiality without exception.
- Will adhere to office COVID-19 protocols
- Compensation based on previous experience and training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
