Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in a dental office setting. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at the front desk.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software.
- Manage incoming calls through phone systems, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain patient records by accurately entering information into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data entry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems is desirable but not mandatory.
