We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing support to both patients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in administrative tasks within a medical office setting, with proficiency in electronic medical records and front desk operations.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the office and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records Healthquest .
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Process patient information and insurance claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed, ensuring accuracy in all documentation.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning documents, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Skills
- Previous experience medical office environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems Healthquest is highly desirable.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to assist in documentation and communication within the office .
