Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Alberta Health Services (AHS) billing using the Medibase system, is proficient with computer applications, and excels in dictation and typing. You will play a key role in supporting the clinical team, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients with professionalism and empathy
- Manage front desk operations including check-ins, scheduling, and patient flow
- Accurately enter and maintain electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Perform AHS billing tasks using Medibase (required)
- Transcribe dictations efficiently and accurately
- Prepare referral letters and other correspondence using EMR and dictation
- Answer and triage phone calls, emails, and appointment requests
- Coordinate specialist referrals and diagnostic appointments
- Support physicians and clinical staff with general administrative duties
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
