Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Machine Assembler who will be responsible for assembly and testing of custom machinery for the plastic industry, while ensuring quality and the ability to meet production requirements. You should have some experience working with your hands and assembling machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a machine assembler and/or mechanic and/or possess millwright license.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools.
- Experience with machine shop equipment and mechanical systems.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes and experience with industrial machine build/repair.
- Understanding of basic electrical systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem solving techniques.
