QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 education (MB Standards)
- One (1) year equivalent full time experience with inventory management functions within the last three (3) years
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology
- Province of Manitoba Class 5 Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of computerized Inventory management software
- Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures in a changing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence of skills and concepts related to the position

Under the direction of the Manager, Logistics & Distribution in Materials Management, the incumbent performs the functions designed to facilitate the receipt and delivery of goods to departments and programs within Prairie Mountain Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overview:
- The coordination of daily rentals including sales, installation, maintenance, preparation of receipts, collections, deposits, billings and refunds
- Maintain excellent relations with all staff, patients and their families
- Keep the Manager of Logistics & Distribution informed on matters pertaining to the foregoing services
- Answer phone inquiries and requests for supplies or services.
- Deliver / pickup supplies and equipment within the Brandon and surrounding area.
- Setup / takedown equipment where required.
- Count and replenish Material Management supplies maintained in the Brandon and area Departments.
- Pickup of soiled items for reprocessing. Sterile supplies are handled and stored in a manner that protects integrity of the sterility.
- Provide mail, medication, and lab specimen pickup / drop off service for the Brandon area.
- Pickup and delivery of items for the Brandon area departments.
- Carry out Print Room functions.
- Maintain records on various Material Management functions.
- Generates and confirms supply requisitions using the Material Management computer system.
- Makes every effort to be helpful and cooperative to all staff requesting assistance in obtaining supplies and services from Material Management. This includes follow-up with Departments on requests which cannot be readily identified or accommodated.
- Provide shuttle service to various clients, departments/services
- Provide purchasing services for departments/services on behalf of the Brandon and use corporate credit cards in a fair, ethical and responsible manner. All transactions will be audited.
- Assists with the training of new staff members as required.
- Delivery / pickup of patient /client meals.
- Good distribution techniques, such as proper location, rotation (first in - first out), identification, documentation and organization, are utilized.
- Other duties as assigned.
