Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Execute supplier management governance requirements and best practices within Global Functions Technology (GFT); support the strategic direction for Global Functions Tech supplier management (relationship management, performance management, risk management, innovation management) for process, tools and people, and in alignment with the T&O Supplier Management Office, the Global Supplier Management team and in coordination with the GFT Supplier Delivery Management Office
- Owns the Global Functions Technology contract intake repository, including pre-approval/ approval processes for all contracts in the Global Functions Technology portfolio; performs analytics including predictive run rate forecasting, reporting, and any metrics related to supplier management, as well as developing beneficial reporting dashboards; works with the various lines of business to help drive an understanding of supplier metrics and forward looking trends, as well as to guide recommendations and implement best practices
- Interact daily across businesses on the full range of supplier management matters related to compliance, target tracking, contracts and contractor assignments as well as the central point of contact for all teams in the Global Functions Technology portfolio, providing guidance and support for supplier management needs
- Participate on planning initiatives as required to support the Global Functions Tech portfolio (i.e., communication session support, community action team activity, ad hoc reporting)
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Supplier Management experience (relationship, governance, performance)
- Experience in strategic relationship management, delivery performance analysis, and negotiations
- Demonstrated excellence in both written and oral communication is a must. You should be proficient in effectively and timely communicating with stakeholders, understanding their information and communication needs, and presenting information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong business and financial acumen plus operational mindset
- Demonstrated ability to build sustainable, transparent relationships / partnerships, with the ability to coach and partner across a matrix organization
Nice-to-have:
- Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of Relationship Management, and Contract Execution, including strong knowledge and experience in professional services, vendor management, and governance practices
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
- Knowledge of Beeline or other similar Vendor Management Systems (VMS)
