Reporting to: General Manager

The Hilton Garden Inn Fredericton Downtown is currently seeking a highly motivated Manager on Duty, with strong initiative and desire for personal achievement for our property located in the beautiful downtown of Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly focused individual, result-oriented with innovative critical thinking skills. Ultimately, you will ensure all operations flow smoothly and help us meet our company goals.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing operations, including maintenance, cleanliness, and efficiency
• Ensuring that security and safety regulations are met.
• Keep track of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
• Work with management to assess and improve processes and policies.
• Uphold and enforce company policies.
• Address employee complaints as needed.
• Address customer issues and complaints.
• Meet regularly with upper management to stay informed on company issues.
• Must be reliable and able to make decisions and solve issues.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in hotel operations, preferably in a supervisory or front desk leadership role
• Education in Hospitality Management or a related discipline preferred.
• Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., PEP) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Customer service focused with a professional demeanor.
• Able to speak both official languages are an asset.
• Availability of working in shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.53 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
