We’re looking for a Manager, Internal Audit to join our head office located Vernon, British Columbia. Our head office houses Tolko's corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement, and Human Resources.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in public practice, internal audit or risk management with 2+ years at a management level.
- University degree with a focus on Internal Audit, Risk, Business or Accounting.
- CPA designation is required.
- Experience in risk assessment, audit planning, and execution.
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to succeed in a role that has influence without authority.
- Experience in the industry relevant to Tolko is preferred.

In this role, you will:
- Advise on sector policy/standards, train, set goals & KPIs, and directly manage the internal audit function.
- Work closely with corporate management to provide input on policy and ensure compliance with enterprise policies and procedures.
- Oversee audit management including planning, execution, and reporting on higher risk, higher scope, and higher spend areas.
- Lead in the development and implementation of best-in-class audit strategies and practices.
- Manage the organization's audit processes and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide support for capital budgeting, capital expenditures, and project management from an audit perspective.
