Position Overview
We are seeking a Manager, Fund Development & Donor Data Integrity, who is an experienced fundraiser and/or business development professional with a strong foundation in donor data management who is results-driven, collaborative, and passionate about supporting vulnerable families. Working closely with the Director, Philanthropy & Campaigns, the Manager, Fund Development & Donor Data Integrity will support the execution of The Inn’s philanthropy strategy by leveraging data insights, strengthening donor relations, and ensuring operational excellence across the Resource Development team.
What You’ll Do
The Manager, Fund Development & Donor Data Integrity will perform a wide range of responsibilities, which include:
Fund Development
- Drive revenue growth across multiple streams: individual giving, direct mail, digital campaigns, monthly giving, special events, third-party events, and major gifts.
- Support the Director, Philanthropy & Campaigns, in advancing corporate giving strategies.
- Contribute to the development of compelling donor proposals aligned with funding priorities.
- Assist in identifying and researching individual and corporate donor prospects.
- Implement donor recognition and stewardship plans that build long-term engagement.
- Guide the development and tracking of individual donor strategies, ensure accurate database records.
- Stay current on sector trends and introduce innovative fundraising approaches.
Donor Data Integrity
- Oversee accurate gift processing, receipting, and record-keeping in Raiser’s Edge, in line with internal policies and CRA guidelines.
- Lead the development of reports and performance metrics to inform strategy and measure results.
- Ensure best practices in donor data management, analytics, and reporting.
- Stay informed about relevant compliance requirements (AFP, CRA, Imagine Canada, etc.).
Team & Collaboration
- Provide mentorship and support to fundraising team members.
- Contribute to departmental planning, goal setting, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align fundraising activities with organizational priorities.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in fundraising and/or business development within the non-profit sector.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of the Donor Bill of Rights, Fundraising Code of Ethics, and CRA charitable giving
regulations.
- Proficiency in Raiser's Edge (or similar CRM); experience with data management, research, analysis and reporting is essential.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and attention to detail skills.
- AFP membership is preferred.
- Experience with strategic planning, donor cultivation, and relationship-building.
- Skilled in influencing, negotiation, and sales.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and networking skills.
- Financial literacy and experience in budget management and reporting.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, MS Teams).
- Outgoing, collaborative, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Completion of relevant training as assigned (e.g., Indigenous Awareness, Brain Story, conflict de-escalation, harm reduction).
