WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
This purpose of this role is to assist in completing various landscape projects around the resort under the direct supervision of the Landscape Projects - Supervisor. This Maintenance Worker, Landscape position is a more experienced, hands-on construction and skilled landscaper having a full understanding of construction techniques, the Resort's standards, and working in a positive, professional & safe manner.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Works with the Supervisor to complete projects from start to finish, which includes jobs involving but not limited to - tree planting, garden construction, interlock, stonework, sodding and prepping, mulching, and planting.
- Completes other day to day tasks as required by Manager or Supervisor - garden bed maintenance, emergency calls, waste disposal and resort detail cleaning as needed.
- Works efficiently to a high standard, while utilizing various hand-held landscaping construction tools.
- Has a keen eye for details and finished product, while following standard landscaping construction techniques in co-ordination with the Supervisor. From time to time, working with the special projects team to help complete other projects around resort.
- Complete snow removal through the winter months, which includes shoveling, snowplowing, skid steer, blade, and use of small equipment to remove snow and keep pathways, doorways, and roads clear.
- Is aware of and is compliant with the standards and tactics of the business unit as directed by their leaders through training and coaching.
- Provides feedback to leadership that influences the planning for future seasons.
- Understands departmental service standards, is receptive of training and communication to create revolutionary guest experiences and achieve departmental goals.
- Skillfully uses available resources, training and communication channels to achieve a highly productive, efficient environment with minimal downtime that produces high quality product(s) and service(s).
- Participates in programming and completes training that unites employees around purpose and fun and therefore results in high employee satisfaction and engagement within their department.

- Follows Crisis Management direction/plan, as designed by Crisis Committee and/or Risk Management Team.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- 2 years previous landscaping/grounds experience required; 1 years Blue Mountain experience preferred.
- High school or equivalent education preferred.
- Must be physically fit; able to lift and carry heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks involving shoveling, bending, stretching, walking and kneeling.
- Experience operating and completing basic maintenance on machines an asset.
- Previous snow removal experience an asset.
- Demonstrates a willingness to gain knowledge specific to their job area and is receptive to feedback from leadership to further their own growth and expertise. While exceptions may apply, generally post-secondary education not required and no prior experience required.
