Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a strong background in medical office procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems like Epic
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens usage
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting, particularly in ophthalmology, is preferred
- Familiarity with optical equipment and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems like Epic
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology
- Experience with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a background in retail sales would be beneficial
- IN HOUSE TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
