We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This position involves both cooking and meal preparation, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
- Handle food items with care to ensure quality and prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
