Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
