Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Help develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas for meal preparation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
