Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes, ensuring that food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and proper cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
