O’Byrne’s Ice District is a lively, well-loved Irish pub in the heart of Edmonton. We're currently looking for passionate and dedicated Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. Whether you're looking for full-time hours or part-time flexibility, we've got a spot for you—day and night shifts available.
Overview
We are seeking motivated and reliable Line Cooks who take pride in creating high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and solid knowledge of food safety and preparation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a consistent and memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to O'Byrne’s recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is handled and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with daily prep tasks including chopping, slicing, and portioning
- Keep kitchen workstations and equipment clean, organized, and sanitized
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service, especially during peak hours
- Monitor food inventory and communicate low stock or supply needs to management
- Follow all kitchen health and safety protocols
- Support training of new kitchen staff as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene
- Ability to stay focused and work efficiently under pressure
- Comfortable with a range of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for food and delivering consistent, quality meals
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends
