Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Follow food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist in meal preparation and plating for service.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
