Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals in our restaurant kitchen. Your role will involve food handling, food preparation, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Duties: - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices - Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and portion sizes - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe handling and storage of ingredients - Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the Kitchen Manager - Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries of food products - Adhere to proper sanitation practices and maintain a clean work environment Experience: - Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred - Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods - Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team - Understanding of food safety regulations and practices If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, we would love to hear from you.
