Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the meal preparation process, ensuring that every dish meets our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including all cooking equipment and utensils.
- Adhere to food safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment is required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
