*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection while adhering to food safety standards. *Responsibilities* - Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. - Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. - Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. - Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. - Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up and breaking down stations. - Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures. *Skills* - Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. - Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. - Team-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. - Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes. - Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
