Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals according to our menu standards, ensuring that every dish is presented beautifully and served promptly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all hot side dishes in the entremetier section (vegetables, starches, soups, etc.).
- Ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation of all dishes in the entremetier section.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet service times during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Manage inventory for the entremetier section, ensuring proper stock levels and notifying the chef when supplies are low.
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and cooking techniques while preparing ingredients for dishes.
Experience
- Proven experience working on the hot line in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Strong working knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods for hot foods.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a busy kitchen environment.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working in a high-energy, time-sensitive environment.
