Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service
- Participate in menu planning and development as needed
- Place weekly orders
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen and serving staff
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and meal preparation methods
- Previous experience in the food industry is essential
