Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and adhere to food safety guidelines.
- Assist in the plating of dishes and ensure they meet presentation standards before serving.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Previous experience in meal preparation or as a line cook is advantageous.
