Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing and construction, demonstrating expertise in various plumbing systems and techniques. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction while working on diverse projects in both residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine plumbing layout.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for pipe connections and repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing installations and repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required for the installation of plumbing systems.
- Provide field service support for troubleshooting and resolving plumbing issues at client locations.
- Assist in remodeling projects by installing new plumbing fixtures or rerouting existing lines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to plumbing tasks.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the capability to perform pipe threading and assembly tasks.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations.
- Experience in carpentry is beneficial for integrated projects involving structural modifications.
- Previous construction site experience is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of site safety practices.
- Valid commercial driving license may be required for transportation of materials or equipment.
- Maintenance Person experience is advantageous for addressing various maintenance tasks beyond standard plumbing duties.
