Our client, a boutique Toronto law firm - specializing in Employment and Labour Litigation, is hiring. They are seeking a confident and capable Litigation Legal Assistant to join their amazing team. What you will be doing:
- Provide administrative legal support including drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, and calendar management.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Organize and maintain case files and documents, both electronically and in hard copy.
- Coordinate communication between lawyers, clients, and court personnel.
- Prepare materials for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
- Assist with docketing and invoicing processes.
What we need you to bring to the position:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience gained as a litigation legal assistant with extensive experience in Labour and Employment.
- Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Cool under pressure – able to handle multiple priorities with grace.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
