Leasing Agent
Rico Real Estate Inc. is a property management firm specialized in single and multifamily properties.
We are looking for a Leasing Agent to facilitate the day-to-day rental operations of the brokerage. The successful candidate is responsible for generating quality leads, conducting property tours and evaluating prospective tenants to fill vacancies; the candidate will also be required to perform all related administrative tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate should have excellent people-skills, be a charismatic individual and display an ability to think critically. Additional skills include problem-solving, social media navigation, efficient multitasking and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full leasing process: creating property advertisements, scheduling and conducting viewing appointments and executing the application review procedure.
- Develop all leads, mainly telephone and social media inquiries, within 24 hours of being received with the objective of confirming a “personal leasing tour”.
- Follow up with all leads within 24 hours of last interaction.
- Submit applications to Property Managers for approval and carry out an assortment of reference checks on the applicants.
- Advise applicants on the status and eventual verdict of their application in a timely manner.
- Assist in securing security deposit payments and signed lease agreements on approved applications within 48 hours of approval.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding activities including but not limited to assessing property readiness, coordinating move in’s and out’s, completing condition reports, organizing keys and transitioning utility services.
- Ensuring rental advertisements are up to date and reflect current and upcoming vacancies. Ensuring said advertisements are appealing and accurately describe the property.
- Conduct market research to ensure rental pricing is appropriate yet competitive.
- Utilize Yardi software to record transactions and obtain relevant information.
- Assist and support other Leasing Agents and Property Managers as required.
The candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in residential market leasing, customer services or sales.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle with 2M liability insurance.
- Exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
- Possess excellent planning and organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Above average problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends or holidays when needed.
· Basic marketing background (Asset)
· Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act (Asset)
· Ability to generate new business (Asset)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
