As a Production Lead you will oversee, monitor and coordinate the work for their assigned production team. Working with the Production Manager to plan work and meet goals. Ensuring that all required information, training, and teams goals are communicated to team members. You will report on team successes and challenges to the Production Supervisor/Manager. While working with other leads, supervisors and managers within the plant to help their team achieve production goals timely. You will help team members with common questions, training, and concerns. Elevating concerns as necessary to plant leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Identify issues, problems, and solutions in areas of safety, quality, and production
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by leading by example and assisting supervisor in monitoring the use of all control points, equipment, and resources
- Adhere to, train, and help to enforce compliance to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
- Work with support groups including New Product Development, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and the Warehouse to complete production in a timely manner
- Teach, guide, oversee, and organize employees to complete production
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of their assigned department by providing guidance and direction
- Assist in the preparation and organization of employee work schedules as well as monitor and report on attendance
- Maintain an adequate supply of tools and hardware supplies, as need
- Assist supervisor/manager in the planning the layout of their assigned area
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent; Associates’ Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) – Technical, Business, Education, Engineering or other related field preferred
- Lean, Six Sigma certificates preferred
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Ability to give direction to team, delegate tasks, and provide team members feedback
- Demonstrated strong reading, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve common production issues
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a diverse work environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Vietnamese preferred
- Previous experience as a Production Lead preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to travel 0-25% of the time
Compensation Details $23.85 - $29.81 Per Hour
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
For eligible positions, compensation may also include participation in a bonus or sales compensation plan paid according to achievement against sales targets and/or business objectives. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package.
