Job Summary
The Die Cut Machine Operator is responsible for setup and operation of the Bobst die cutter equipment. Follows safe, efficient work practices and ensures quality product with minimal scrap rates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Ability to repair mechanical issues on die cutter
- Keeps stock and orders consumables (matrices, glue, oil, etc.)
- Can replace steel rules on tooling
- Work with design department to approve CAD samples
- Perform set-ups and operate machines that die cut paperboard carton materials.
- Machine setup including cutting and stripping die installation, in process quality control, paper stock inspection, machine loading and finished goods inspection. Monitor and manage the effectiveness and accuracy of cutting, and area maintenance. Confirmation of accuracy and completeness of order.
- Occasionally train workers on the Die Cutting Machine operations, including the feeding and take off functions
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines on Safety, Hazard Mitigation, Personal Protective Equipment, and proper Machine Operation
- Ensure cleanliness of work area, ensuring GMP guidelines are consistently satisfied
- Must be capable of occasionally lifting up to 50lbs
- Work effectively with others in a team setting
- Cross training on other equipment as needed.
- Complete job tasks in a safe an efficient manner
- Addition duties as required
Experience:
- Mechanical experience or machine operation
- Die Cut experience is preferred however training is provided. Job promotions and pay level increases occur with training, experience and resulting performance.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, meeting production performance indicators
Core Competencies:
- Be able to perform calculator math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Accurately read and use measuring devices
- Visually inspect product and equipment against set criteria.
Technical Skills:
- Able to perform troubleshooting to diagnose and correct quality problems.
- Experience with hand tools.
- Able to understand heavy equipment maintenance and operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
