Active Start Childcare, a thriving and established company based in Calgary with sister centers in Airdrie, is currently seeking Lead Child Care Educators for our newest Calgary location - Seton. We are seeking individuals who possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. This individual must have strong leadership and classroom management skills. Prior experience is required, and candidates must possess an Alberta Child Care certification level 2 or 3, and have or be willing to obtain a current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.
Key responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to):
- Creating and implementing engaging programming tailored to the interests and needs of the children.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the environment.
- Leading and supporting children in integrated learning and recreational activities.
- Actively supervising and engaging with children while ensuring their well-being.
- Providing regular communication to parents through monthly newsletters and daily updates.
- Cultivating positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Participating in professional development initiatives.
- Adhering to Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulations and Active Start's policies and procedures to ensure quality care.
