We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Carpenter. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in all aspects of a new residential home building process and leading a team of carpenters advising them on their daily tasks and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans
- Lead team and help other carpenter when needed in daily tasks
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other materials when required
- Experience and troubleshooting doors, windows, cabinetry, and trim would be an asset
- Collaborate with subcontractors, and other crew members
- Maintain tools and job site cleanliness
- Follow company safety procedures and OH&S standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2nd Year Apprentice or equivalent experience
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in residential construction
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Must be punctual, dependable, and have a strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
