Job Description :
  • Reports to the Student Affairs Office (SAO) 45 minutes before the exam scheduled start time.
  • Responsible for setting up the examination room according to specific requirements as well as ensuring that equipment and facilities are functioning properly.
  • Administers the delivery of computerized exams and all physical documentation.
  • Reports students’ problems to the SAO in a timely manner. Ensures that students comply with all exam regulations.
  • Responsible to report to the SAO any behavior by students or others that does not comply with University regulations.
  • Ensures that all mobile and web-accessible electronic devices are stowed away from students prior to the start of the examination.
  • Ensures that students are accompanied to the washroom.
  • Alerts the SAO when students have a question.
  • At the end of the examination period, collects all exam materials and ensures nothing is left behind in the examination room(s).
  • Responsible for returning all exams material to the SAO.
Hours per week: Variable depending on the needs of the Faculty (minimum 4 hour shift length)

Mandatory Information Training Session (Virtual): Recording will be made available prior to shifts, but all invigilators (with or without seniority) must attend the training given new exam software.
Shifts in Summer 2025:
  • Invigilator Training: 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30th
  • Monday, August 4 – PM shifts available
  • Wednesday, August 6 – AM shifts available
  • Thursday, August 7 – AM shifts available
  • Monday, August 11 – AM shifts available
  • Tuesday, August 12 – AM shifts available
  • Wednesday, August 13 – AM shifts available
AM: 8:45 am to 1:00 /1:30 pm
PM: 12:45 pm to 5:30 / 6:00 pm
Shifts in Fall 2025:
  • Invigilator Training: 4:00 – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26th
  • Exact shifts TBD, on weekdays from December 5th – 19th inclusive
Qualifications Required:
Holder of a high school diploma or higher. Comfortable with handling computerized exams. Must be student-focused and service oriented. Punctual. Demonstrated adequate communication and organizational skills, and an ability to transmit and receive information accurately. Demonstrated ability to listen and efficiently assist students with problems. Ability to follow instructions and to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to act in an acceptable manner so as not to disrupt students writing the exam. English, spoken and read. French an asset.
Hourly Salary:
(AGSEM Invigilator) $18.00
