Job Description:
Family Law Group is seeking a Family Law Clerk with 3+ years of experience. Remuneration commensurate with skillset and experience.
Primary Duties
- Corresponding with clients, counsel, and the court
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents such as Financial Statements, Net Family Property Statements, Briefs, and pleadings
- Scheduling appointments for the responsible lawyer
- Supporting the responsible lawyer with deadlines and organization
- Preparing the responsible lawyer for court appearances and appointments
- Meeting with clients to sign documentation
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Family Law Clerk
- A professional who is passionate about their work
- Ability to show empathy to clients
- Works well under pressure and tight timelines
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills: oral and written
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the ability to work with others, including clients, and colleagues
- Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office 365 programs and DivorceMate is required
