Rokswood Efabshop is seeking a skilled Laser Cutting Sheet and Tube Machine Operator with experience operating CypCut and TubePro software. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of mechanical fabrication, sheet metal layouts, and basic drafting principles to support CNC and custom fabrication jobs in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate fiber laser cutting machines (flatbed and tube) using CypCut and TubePro
- Interpret mechanical drawings and prepare programs accordingly
- Perform machine setup, part alignment, and routine maintenance
- Work with tight tolerances to ensure accurate cuts for welding and fabrication
- Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and part tagging
- Collaborate with drafting and fabrication teams to ensure production accuracy
- Perform quality checks and update production records
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment per company and OHS standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CypCut and/or TubePro (PipePro) laser systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical fabrication techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication schematics
- Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or DraftSight) is an asset
- Physically fit to handle materials, lift up to 50 lbs, and work standing for long periods
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must be a Canadian Permanent Resident or Citizen (work permit holders not eligible)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
