The Role
General Labourers execute daily tasks assigned by Foreman safely, correctly and efficiently. General Labourers ensure work complies with job specifications.
- Fast paced and physically demanding work environment
- Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
- Ability to operate necessary power tools to complete daily tasks
- Work well in a team environment to successfully complete daily tasks
- Work conditions are due to change with the seasons as work is completed outdoors.
A day in the life
- Ensure safety compliance with all activities
- Ensure all quality standards
- Tasks such as grass cutting, trimming, pruning, leaf blowing, garden bed clean up etc.
Qualifications
- 1 year of Landscaping experience would be considered an asset
- Operating small and medium-sized Heavy Equipment considered an asset
- Knowledge of general operation and maintenance of Heavy Equipment considered an asset
- Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Standing/walking for long periods of time
- Kneeling/crouching throughout the day
- Lifting/carrying up to 50lbs safely
- Working in elements such as full sun/light rain
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
