Landscape Labourer

THE IDEAL LANDSCAPER is seeking to fill the position of LANDSCAPE LABOURER for our Landscaping Team. This position involves all aspects of Landscaping Labour including Snow Removal.

This is a Part Time / On Call position for Winter Operations (based on snowfall) and a Full Time position for Spring, Summer and Fall.

The IDEAL candidate would possess the following skills…

SPRING / SUMMER / FALL

• Able to read work orders, follow plans and direction in relation to labour and material allotments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able to perform manual labour (shoveling, raking, etc..) as required. This position may become physically demanding. Combination of sitting, standing, walking; standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling.
• Able to operate company grass equipment and power equipment (ie grass trimmers, hedge trimmers) safely and to company standards.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Other duties as required.

WINTER

• Flexibility in availability. There are no set hours or set schedule. You will work when it snows.
• Able to shovel sidewalks, walkways and stairways of snow accumulation properly and to company standards.
• Able to operate a snow blower safely, without damaging customer or company property while still clearing away snow accumulation properly and to company standards.
• Must be available and capable of working late evening or early morning starts and last minute call outs.
• Other duties as required

GENERAL

• Minimum valid class G license with clean abstract is mandatory.
• Able to drive company vehicles safely, performing safety checks and maintain clean vehicles.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Able to professionally represent The Ideal Landscaper when dealing with customers.
• Able to follow workplace safety, safe handling and lifting procedures
• Previous experience with Snow Removal or Landscaping will be considered an asset but not mandatory.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment will be considered and asset but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
