About the Role:
[St. George Academy High School in North York, Ontario is seeking a bilingual Korean Marketer/Counsellor to support recruitment efforts in South Korea and provide culturally responsive counselling to Korean students in Canada. This dual role blends marketing and student support, ideal for someone passionate about education, international engagement, and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Recruitment
- Develop and manage relationships with Korean education agents and families
- Promote the school through digital campaigns, webinars, and in-person/virtual fairs
- Translate marketing materials and maintain Korean-language web/social media content
- Coordinate with admissions to support Korean applicant inquiries
Student Counselling & Support
- Provide academic and personal counselling to Korean students in Korean and English
- Help students adjust to Canadian school life and culture
- Communicate regularly with parents in Korea regarding student progress
- Support post-secondary planning for universities in Korea, Canada, and abroad
Qualifications:
- Fluent in Korean and English (verbal and written)
- Experience in student counselling, international education, or recruitment
- Strong understanding of Korean culture and education system
- Excellent communication, organizational, and intercultural skills
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred:
- Experience with international student recruitment or Korean private education market
- Familiarity with Canadian private school environment and post-secondary systems
- Knowledge of digital marketing platforms (e.g., KakaoTalk, Naver, Instagram)
