The Knowledge Dissemination Strategist supports the college’s commitment to research, innovation, and entrepreneurship by identifying meaningful outcomes and translating them into practical, user-focused knowledge dissemination assets. Working across departments and initiatives, the Strategist develops and executes strategic plans that ensure the contributions of research centres, partners, faculty, students, and college-supported entrepreneurs are translated into timely, accessible stories that communicate the positive economic, social, and technological impact of Conestoga’s research, innovation, and entrepreneurship initiatives across our ecosystem.

It is anticipated that this position will meet the needs of the department Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with two days on-site at Conestoga’s Office of Research Services, located at 96 Grand Ave. S. in Cambridge and three days remote.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to translate and communicate outcomes from applied research, innovation, and entrepreneurship projects into accessible formats for external audiences, including community groups, industry partners and funders

  • Collaborate with research project leads, entrepreneurship program managers, and innovation teams to identify outcomes that demonstrate value to external stakeholders, and identify opportunities for institutional, project-based, or individual recognition through awards, showcases, and external acknowledgements
  • Maintain an organized and dynamic archive of knowledge dissemination assets and performance metrics to support reporting, partnership development, and institutional storytelling with a focus on demonstrating impact

  • Understanding of post-secondary research landscape, including funding programs and associated knowledge dissemination requirements
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and storytelling skills, with a focus on translating research outcomes into impactful knowledge dissemination products (reports, publications, journal articles, case studies)
  • Experience developing comprehensive communication strategies, including social media engagement
  • Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for institutional, project-based, or individual recognition through research-related awards, showcases, and other forms of external acknowledgement
