Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Kinesiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human movement and rehabilitation techniques, with a focus on improving the physical well-being of clients. This role involves working closely with individuals to assess their physical abilities, develop tailored exercise programs, and provide guidance on injury prevention and recovery. The Kinesiologist will also engage in case management and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ physical capabilities and limitations.
- Develop personalized exercise programs aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall fitness.
- Provide education on injury prevention strategies and proper body mechanics.
- Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment plans using Excel and Outlook for documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients to foster a supportive environment that encourages their active participation in their rehabilitation process.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize client outcomes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Engage in case management activities to track client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Experience
- A degree in Kinesiology or a related field is required.
- Previous experience working in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred, especially in pediatrics.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes.
- Bilingual capabilities in English and French are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
