We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team at Ogilvie Mountain Holdings LP, supporting the successful delivery of pipeline construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate with early-career exposure to utility or pipeline environments and a passion for cost analysis and project planning.
As a Junior Estimator, you’ll be directly involved in the preparation of competitive bids and tender submissions, supporting pre-bid activities, engaging third-party vendors, and estimating labor, equipment, and material costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of bid and tender documents for pipeline construction projects
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
- Estimate costs related to labor, equipment, and materials
- Support pre-bid activities, including job site visits and scope reviews
- Engage and coordinate with third-party vendors and subcontractors for quotations
- Assist in maintaining estimate documentation and cost databases
- Collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, and the senior estimating team
Requirements
- Recent graduate in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) registration preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in pipeline or utility construction (co-op or field exposure accepted)
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project scheduling tools
- Familiarity with bid preparation workflows in heavy civil or pipeline sectors
- Knowledge of safety and environmental considerations in pipeline construction

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
