We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Estimator to join our estimating team. Based in Langley, British Columbia, the Junior Estimator will be responsible for assisting the Lead Estimator in the preparation of estimates and will be involved in all aspects of the bidding process. Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform quantity takeoffs, source materials and subcontractors, and assist the lead estimator in bid completion.
- Assist in the preparation of quotation letters and proposals.
- Support the project transition process from the point that a bid is awarded until it is comfortably managed by the project management team.
- Keep track of tender closing dates and status of award post tender.
- Capture vital bid information for post tender analysis.
- Communicate with prospective clients to obtain tender information, download, and maintain all documentation in the bid folder.
- Participate in tender meetings with the client and Lead Estimator.
- Perform additional estimating duties as assigned.

Employment requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or similar construction-based programs.
- 2+ years of experience in earthworks with on-site experience (an asset).
- Experience in estimating (an asset).
- Ability to read and interpret information from construction drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience with AutoCAD 3D (an asset).
- Experience with Bluebeam (an asset).
- Ability to self-learn new software.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Excellent English skills, oral and written.
- Must have high attention to detail.
