We are currently seeking an additional instructor for our newest program: Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT)!
Successful candidates for this must have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in an MDRT position in a hospital*;
- Must be a CSA (Canadian Standard Association) approved Medical Device Reprocessing Technician;
- Active member in good standing with Canadian Association of Medical Device Reprocessing (CAMDR) and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Nova Scotia (MDRANS) preferred;
- Hands-on experience in medical device reprocessing;
Additional skills crucial to success in this position include:
- Excellent presentation and communication skills;
- Ability to assess and evaluate students in the field and/or classroom setting;
- Ability to instruct in class and/or during student practicum;
- Help prepare students to undertake the MDRT exam provided through CSA;
- Exemplary professionalism and networking skills;
- Training or teaching experience is considered an asset;
- Adult education certificates considered an asset;
