We are looking for an Inspector to perform non-destructive examinations (NDE) on equipment and structures. Under the guidance of the Inspection Manager, the Inspector performs inspections using NDE techniques using visual, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and liquid penetrant testing methods. The Inspector travels to customer locations in Regina and the surrounding area as well as throughout the province. On-the-job training is provided for the role as well as paid training for NDE courses and exams required for additional certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate inspection equipment
- Conduct structural inspections and tests on structures and components
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) in accordance with CSA W178.2 and CGSB standards
- Apply inspection criteria in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications and evaluate results
- Organize and report inspection results
- Inspect and maintain assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Assist Service Coordinator in managing schedule by providing timely and accurate information
- Log work in company ERP system from the field
- Participate in company and customer safety programs
Required Qualifications:
Education
- Grade 12 or GED
- NRCan PT2 inspection certifications
- CWB Visual Level 2 inspection certification
- NRCan MT2, UT1, or UT2 inspection certification is not required but would be considered an asset
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in welding inspection or NDT
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Satisfactory near vision acuity and colour vision
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver’s license
