Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
Skills
- Proficient in food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
- Experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
