Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time / Casual Human Resources Manager to join our team. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, and the ability to implement and manage various HR programs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Work with Executive Team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining company policies.
- Assist management with conducting performance evaluations and assist in developing improvement plans as necessary.
- Provide management with appropriate next steps on HR related topics / WCB related items.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Create and maintain necessary documentation templates and job descriptions.
- Provide administrative support for various HR initiatives and programs.
- Acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Assisting with performance reviews and disciplinary processes (and create appropriate templates for such initiatives)
- Ensuring compliance with Federal & Provincial labor laws and company policies.
- Maintaining and updating HR documents, including handbooks and policies.
- Developing and refining HR policies based on legal and industry changes.
- Assisting with drafting termination letters and exit paperwork.
- Preparing severance agreements (if applicable).
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role with a strong understanding of HR practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.
