Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School (STS) is a premier co-educational day school nestled in the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains just outside of the City of Calgary on a 220-acre campus. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, STS offers all three IB Programmes from Kindergarten through to Grade 12.

In addition to the global perspective offered by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, the School offers an extensive co-curricular program in a technology-rich environment. Students take advantage of the amazing natural setting including a small pond, forest, and extensive trail system to complement their academic learning.

Position Overview

STS is looking for an experienced, organized and diligent HR professional to manage and support key technical HR and financial support functions such as payroll, benefits enrollment and reconciliation, leave administration and year end auditing.

Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, the HR Administrator will play an integral role in the technical aspects of Human Resources while also building upon documented business processes and seeking to find efficiencies in the work. In addition to having relevant Payroll experience, the successful candidate will also be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes the initiative to find process improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

· Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or actively enrolled in the program.

· Minimum 3-5 years working Human Resources, including working in payroll administration (experience working with UKG Payroll System is strongly preferred).

· University degree or diploma in human resources or a related field is preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer literacy is required.

· Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

· Ensure accuracy and compliance in all HR and payroll-related processes.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent organization and time management skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Confidentiality and discretion.
