Play a vital role in building homes and futures for our Úxwumixw (community). As Housing Project Coordinator, you'll help bring Squamish Nation members' housing dreams to life while honoring our values of wenáxws (respect) and intergenerational stewardship of our lands.
What You’ll Do
- Create and monitor budgets for housing projects, ensuring proper financial tracking and compliance
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and financial reconciliations with accuracy
- Serve as primary contact between members, contractors, and financial institutions during home builds
- Coordinate material selections and scheduling with members and contractors
- Maintain detailed project records and prepare monthly progress reports
- Liaise between Planning & Capital Projects, Hiyam Housing, and BMO on home loan programs
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions
- Provide exceptional customer service to Nation members throughout the building process
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience in project coordination, preferably in construction or housing
- Strong financial management skills with budgeting experience
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of construction processes and terminology
- Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and protocols
- Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.

Salary: $ 54,000 - $ 75,500
Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
