Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard
- Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
- Verify identities and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
- Document incidents and actions taken
- Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
- Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
- Provide constant observation of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent incidents.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and alert presence at all times.
- Follow hospital policies and security protocols.
- De-escalate situations as needed and report incidents to clinical or security staff promptly.
- Accurately document observations and maintain shift logs as required.
- Work collaboratively with hospital personnel, including nursing and clinical teams.
Qualifications for Security Guard in Lindsay
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid security license
- First aid certification required
- Ability to stand and walk entire shift
