Job Title: FTTH Installation Technician
Location: York Region, Ontario, Canada
National Technical Field Services are looking for skilled and experienced home internet installation technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installation of home and business internet services throughout York Region. Your primary duties will include attending scheduled appointments to complete in home/business installations of internet services and service calls. Looking for someone who lives in or near the York region as all work will be within this area.

Responsibilities:
- FTTH Install, for residential and commercial clients
- Install fiber optic internet equipment from fiber drop at side of home/business to home/business interior.
- Ability to perform all aspects of job including climb/carry ladders, lift/move heavy objects, work in a crouched position and confined spaces
- Terminate fiber optic cables using field terminations
- Install and troubleshoot wireless access connections
- Coordinate with the network operations center to ensure smooth installation and ongoing maintenance
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including OTDRs.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols when working with fiber optic and electrical equipment
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Requirements:
- Looking for someone who lives in or near the York region as all work will be within this area.
- High school diploma or equivalent
· Certification in Fiber Optics preferred
· 2+ years of experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance, including FTTH
· Knowledge of field terminations
· Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for FTTH installation
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Maintenance of a valid provincial driver’s license and the ability to produce an annual driver’s abstract
· Provide services for our customers 7 days a week, so you must be able to work various shifts including evenings and some weekends.· This position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check and ability maintain a clean abstract throughout your employment

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
